Adolescents

Are you a young adult or teenager struggling with life, relationships, your parents and family? You’re in the right place.

Idee understands how you’re feeling and the frustration that comes with not having your beliefs, values or identity respected because of your age. Not being 18 doesn’t mean your feelings or life choices aren’t valid, and Idee is here to help you navigate relationships with adults who don’t take you seriously.

Idee values humor in relationships with her clients, and confidentiality is of utmost importance. What is discussed in your session will stay in your session – sometimes, just having someone to talk to who doesn’t know anyone else in your life will bring you confidence and clarity.

Idee is a good fit for you if:

  • You feel the adults in your life don’t understand or respect you.
  • Your parents try to tell you what to do or try to “fix” or change you.
  • You are struggling while navigating your sexuality, gender identity, or intimate relationships.
  • You have social anxiety, general anxiety, or depression.
  • You need someone to talk to that isn’t a friend or relative.
  • You feel like you can’t fully be yourself without judgement.
  • Your loved ones have goals for you that are different from your own.
  • Your parents are trying to force you to talk to them when you want to be left alone.
  • You struggle to make or keep friends and are feeling lonely.

High School and the years following can be the toughest years of our life, but no one talks about it. It can feel like you are the only person experiencing this, but you are not alone. Our lives are a constant evolution of who we are, and Idee can help you navigate your journey with confidence.

Parents/Guardians: If you are looking for someone to help your teenager or young adult, Idee can be that safe person for them to talk to. It is better for your child to have a safe and confidential place to work through their thoughts and feelings than them trying to figure it out through media and peers. Support them in their journey.
